This page type is used to retrieve and display calendar events both local to your ACM installation as well as calendar events from other installations of the ACM. With additional settings in your configuration files, you can also display events from the Asset Service system. All of these events, regardless of where they originate, can be displayed on a single calendar, and in accordance with the settings you will define when creating the syndicated calendar page.
Note: If site groups are enabled, a separate web service must be generated for each site group in the instance.
Select a location for the calendar by navigating to the page that will be its parent page.
On the Admin toolbar, mouse over the Add Childpage button and select the Syndicated Calendar page. The Page Editor is displayed with the new page ready for editing. If you do not see the Add Childpage button it means you do not have sufficient user rights to edit the current page.
Complete the fields in the Page Summary section of the new page.
In the General Properties section, enter the optional Teaser text.
The next three sections allow you to define where the events will be pulled from for display on your calendar! For events created within the current location in the ACM, complete the Local Calendar Event Source section.
If you are linking to calendar events that are syndicated from a different source, you can identify that source (page) here and configure the categories of events you wish to display on the published calendar page.
If you are pulling events from another remote installation of the ACM, complete the Remote Calendar Event Sources section.
If you are integrated with the Asset Service system, complete the Asset Service Event Source section.
