Syndicated calendar - featured event properties

Click here for an OverviewOverviewThe settings you make here control how Featured Events are displayed on the calendar. Events can be flagged as Featured when they are created in the Syndication Manager. Note that you cannot change the Featured setting for events originating in another ACM installation. You can only control this setting for events created within your own installation of the ACM.:

• Display Featured Events: Check this option if you want to display featured events on the published calendar.

• Section Header Text: This is the text that will appear above the list of featured events. The default text is “Featured Events”.

• Display Next Featured Event: Check this option to enable the controls that allow users to navigate through the list of featured events. You can select how you want the users to see the featured events:
  
  In a Slide Show: Use this option to automatically display featured events for a given time interval. As long as the user is on the page, a different event will be displayed every X number of seconds. The default display interval is 3 seconds.
  
  On Each Reload: If you select this option, a different featured event is displayed each time the user visits the calendar page.
  
  List All: This option displays all featured events, all the time.

• Display Event Description: You can elect to display a portion of the event description on the table calendar view. You must specify if the number of words of the description using the  Show first  words field. The default is to show the first 30 words of the description.  

• Display Event Thumbnail Image: If the event has an image associated with it you can opt to display that image on the table calendar, in thumbnail size.

• Event Date Format: Use this field to control the date format for the display of event dates.
