Map point categories

Add: Click this button to add a new category line. You can then type in a name for the category. Enter as many categories as you will need for grouping your map points. Categories usually correspond to "types" of locations.
Center Point: If you wish to add a marker to mark the center point of your map (where the Info Message gets displayed)you must manually add it by using the Add button and then typing in the Latitude and Longitude as recorded in the Center fields of the Google Map Configuration section.
Name: This is an editable field where you can type/change the name of the category. If you change the name, use the Order column to reorder the categories in alphabetical order.
Order: Use the arrows to move the categories up and down in the list. If you chose to Include the Category Selector or you are using the Legend and including categories, you may wish to make sure your categories are listed here in alphabetical order. This will make it easier for your map's users.
: Click this icon to delete the category. Items that have been assigned to the category will revert to Select Category status and will no longer be assigned to any category.
REMEMBER to reassign items assigned to the deleted category or remove the map points.
Save: Once you have added categories, save your page. You cannot use the categories until you have saved the page.
