In order for pagelets to be viewed properly on a page that is being displayed on a mobile device, you must assign a modified version of the pagelet that is designed specifically for mobile viewing. This is done on the Pagelets tab while in the Page Edit mode. The Pagelets tab has two sections, one for assigning pagelets that are used when the page is being viewed in normal view mode on a regular system and Mobile Pagelets that can be assigned in combination with each of the Mobile Page Templates.
Example: Say you have a General Content page that can be viewed on mobile devices. You have also had to make 2 different custom page templates for 2 of the devices that view this page. Now if the General Content page has pagelets as well, you may have to customize how the pagelets are displayed on each of the mobile devices.
What you need to do is create custom pagelets, then edit the page, go to the pagelets tab, and for each of the custom mobile views that you have created, assign the customized pagelets.
This procedure can only be completed after you have customized your page templates, imported a list of mobile devices, and assigned customized templates to pages. See the procedures shown at the bottom of this procedure.
Edit the page you are adding the pagelets to.
Go to the Pagelets tab.
Complete the Pagelets section for the normal view of the page. These are the pagelets you add in the first section on the Pagelets tab.
In the Mobile Pagelets section, select the first customized mobile page view template from the Mobile Page Template drop-down. This will set you up for adding pagelets that will be used when this page is viewed using the selected template, on the mobile device. Once you have finished this you can add other pagelets to be used in conjunction with other page design templates that will be used by other mobile devices when viewing this page.
Click the Add Pagelet button to select a pagelet.
Once you have added the pagelets, Save the page and submit it for publication.
