Customizing mobile device page templates

This procedure must be completed by either the Site Design Manager or someone who is familiar with downloading and editing the site design package and its template files.

Mobile pages by default use a basic generic mobile view template that is automatically included in each site’s template package folder. If you find you need to customize how a page is displayed on a particular type or brand of device, you can create a customized template for that device type and then assign the device/template combination to the appropriate page. When that type of device attempts to view that page, the customized template will be applied, thus rendering the page correctly.

In the Site Design manager or the design tab of each page, mobile device types stored in the ACM Mobile Device Manager can be added to a template-device combination list.

Note: When you create custom templates, you may wish to name them according to the device brand or group of similar device types that the template will be used for.

Download the Site Design package and add/edit templates according to the procedures found in the ACTIVE Content Manager Design Guide.
