Users will be able to view ACM pages on mobile devices once you have completed the following:
You have purchased the license for Mobile Devices and the ACTIVE support team has turned this feature on in your system.
You have created device folders to organize the devices in
You have imported the .config file containing a list of mobile device types, and sorted them into the desired folders
You have created customized templates that will optimize how pages are viewed on a particular device type
You have indicated for each page, which customized template should be used with which mobile device type to optimize page display
Once all of the above are completed, it works like this.
A users with a mobile device attempts to view a page on the ACM site.
Since Mobile Devices are turned on, the ACM examines each page request to determine if the request is coming from a recognized mobile device.
The ACM determines which authorized device made the page request, checks to see if the page being requested uses a custom template when called by that device.
The ACM displays the page on the mobile device using any custom template that may have been created for that page and that device.
