Before creating Search pages, make sure your Site Administrator has completed the following configuration settings:
In the Site Manager, go to the Publication tab and check the Export to Search checkbox;
Make sure the pages to be included in the search are flagged for inclusion. This requires using the Site Design Manager to check the Include in Search checkbox. It is checked by default so only need to remove the checkbox on pages you DO NOT want to be searchable.
Once the configuration is complete, use this procedure to create a site search page.
Navigate to the page that will be the parent of the new page. See Parent and child pages if you are unsure what this means.
Mouse over the +Childpage button and select Search from the list of page types. If you do not see the +Childpage button you may have insufficient user rights to add pages: speak to your system administrator.
