Edit group - HTML editor

Click here for an OverviewOverviewThis section allows you to select which HTML editor(s) members of this group will be using when editing content. Some editors are easier and less complex while others are not.

The HTML Editors section lists all HTML editors that have been registered for use with your ACTIVE Content Manager. In order for an editor to appear in this section, it must have been registered using the Register HTML Editors feature in the System Information Manager (system administrators only).

If you select the r.a.d. editor here, you can control which buttons and controls users have access to. You do this on the "r.a.d. editor" tab below.
If you select the Plain Text editor as well as the r.a.d. editor, users will be able to toggle back and forth between the plain text editing mode and the more word-processor like r.a.d. editor.

Note that if you are creating a group that does not have either Provider or Approver in the Group Type section, the number of HTML editors will be limited. Those responsible for monitoring do not have edit rights and thus do not need the editors.:

• Active: This column indicates if an editor is active or not for this group. All active editors are listed on the individual user's My Page so that they can select which editor they prefer to use. If you give members of this group access to only one editor, users will still see the editor listed on their My Page, but they obviously will not be able to select a different one.
  
  For each editor you wish this group to have access to, check the Active checkbox.

• Name: This is the Name of the HTML editor. These names are generally those of third-party editors that have been licensed for use with the ACTIVE Content Manager. Some organizations will have additional editors provided they have purchased the appropriate licenses and had ACTIVE add the editor to the ACM.

• Description: This columns simply indicates that rights have been obtained for using the indicated editor.

• Save: Note. If you click Save, you will be returned to the Group Search page and you will have to re-edit the group you are working on. Just leave it for now and make additional edits and you can click Save when you are done.
