This procedure pertains to static sites only. If you do not maintain a static site, you do not need to do this. See Publishing and exporting overview.
In order to keep your site content, links and search feature current, you should schedule a regular site export. Use this procedure to configure an export schedule. Be sure that you have already configured your site publication information. See Configuring site publication information.
From the Admin Center, open the Export manager.
Complete the Scheduled ExportScheduled Export section.
Page(s) to Export: Click the page link to select a page, a section, or the entire site for export. The listed beside each branch of your site hierarchy can be used to select all of a pages child pages for export. Select the desired pages (or Select All) for export and click OK.
Export on Schedule: Select the days of the week on which to export. Many users will select every day of the week.
at: Select a time to export using the 24-hour clock. Many users will elect to export every night at 12:00 am (0:00 on a 24-hour clock) or some other time when web traffic is anticipated to be at a low point.
File Deletion: Check this box if you wish to delete all archived and inactivated files from the static HTMLSite folder.
Note: Make sure the export folder (HTMLSite) does not contain any non-ACM files. This function deletes any file that does not relate to the content intended for export.
Once this option is enabled, the next full site export process will delete the static files corresponding to the archived/in-activated page. The deletion is done within both the-server side html folders and the FTP folders. If the archived page is restored, or the in-activated page is re-activated, the next site export will restore the page(s).
Scroll to the top or bottom of the Export Manager page and click Save.
