As part of the Document Manager page, which manages ACR cases and case attachments, the ACTIVE Content Manager allows you to forward emails to a preconfigured email address in the ACTIVE Content Manager. The email is then saved as a digital asset associated with a particular case file in the Document Manager. Users can forward email correspondence that is relevant to a particular case and keep the emails with all of the other pertinent case documents.
Turn on the Email Request Manager feature:
On the System menu, pen the Configuration Files Manager.
Go to IronPoint.config tab and scroll down to the Feature Extensions section.
Check the EmailRequestManager checkbox.
Click Save.
Proceed to configure the email address domain as indicated in the following procedure.
Configure the Email Address Domain information:
On the System menu, select the Sites option.
Click on the Site Name of the site you wish to edit.
Click on the Email Requests tab. If you do not see an Email Requests tab, contact your ACTIVE Content Manager representative.
Complete the settings on the Email Requests tab. This is the email address to which you will send ACR case/Document Manager case file emails. These emails will be saved as digital assets in the case folder.
Click Save to save the changes to the Email Requests tab.
Sending an email to be saved as a digital asset
Once you have configured the Email Requests tab, and your Document Manager page is completed, you can forward emails to the domain you configured above and the emails will be saved as assets in the appropriate case folder. Use the following procedure to send and save the emails as case assets.
Open the email you wish to save as an asset and forward it to the following address:
FolderName.AssetUpload@emaildomain.com
where the emaildomain is the one you configured on the Email Requests tab in the Sites Manager - Site Details section.
If the FolderName you specify does not exist, the system will create a folder by that name in the root Digital Asset folder.
